ProwlerOnline runs on Linux, not windows. For getting the site back up, sure seems strange to go on line and not be able to access your favorite site. Makes you wonder what it would be like without Prowler On Line. Once again Thanks. Thanks Mike and Judy for getting us back on! Ed - The word in the western half of the U.S. was that you had something to do with the down time of the internet. Fess up!!! Something to do with you predicting the Bengals and the Cardinals in the Super Bowl next year. And you think the Begals are losers,,,,top this,,,, in the 82 year history of the football Cardinals, they have had only 23 winning seasons. To top that,,,,they announced yesterday that they are raising ticket prices, LOL,,,,for what?Prowler What happened to the site? Have not been able to access it since midnight last night. Gary C It was not us, it was the provider if I understand correctly, millions were effected by a worm virus the servers had and not us,,,,,,,,

Gary C It might be sluggish for a while, better than nothing, the poor dial up people,,,, oh well, better than playing Hearts,,,,,,,,,, Gary C The virus-like attack, which began about 12:30 a.m. EST, sought out vulnerable computers on the Internet to infect using a known flaw in popular database software from Microsoft Corp. called "SQL Server 2000." The attacking software was scanning for victim computers so randomly and so aggressively, sending out thousands of probes a second, that it saturated many Internet data pipelines.
Most home users did not need to take any protective measuresGary C click here for full story Mike Krehel The worm didn't attack our server, but it went after an SQL database flaw on Windows 2000 servers. The worm was replicating so fast that it killed most internet traffic on the east coast and overseas. It took down the Department of Defense , NASDAQ, and lots of other services, in fact Continental Airlines is still down! 1buddyc Thanks for the sit-rep, Mike.
